After some time working in the retail fashion industry in San Francisco, Malin and his wife moved back home to Burlingame, and he turned his focus back to real estate. They have been very engaged in the community ever since. Serving as a volunteer in various positions on the Burlingame Community Education Foundation, the Burlingame Neighborhood Network, Burlingame Hills Association, and the local Parent Teacher Association has made Malin appreciate the community he feels so connected to even more.


Malin has expanded his ability to serve his clients by surrounding himself with a growing team of agents and service providers that work together seamlessly. While still in high school, he was already helping manage family-owned investment properties on the Peninsula, working with tenants, contractors, and real estate agents. He spent many weekends visiting open houses and exploring new housing developments around the Bay Area in search of opportunities. Malin developed a keen eye for how properties were presented and sold, and the ability to recognize what made a difference. He brought his analytical skills to the family’s investment portfolio, applying the data and trends he observed to the decision-making process.

A bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies at UC Berkeley was followed by an MBA at San Francisco State University, where Malin rediscovered his passion for leading effective teams and learning to leverage the skills of each member. He applied that skill first to the retail fashion industry in San Francisco, working at the Corporate Headquarters for Williams Sonoma, Banana Republic, and Bebe.

The creative aspects of retail fashion were energizing and Malin dove deep into sales strategy. The ability to craft effective strategies in the face of shifting trends and changing markets has translated well to the real estate industry. Malin’s clients are the beneficiaries of a strategic marketing approach that is responsive to the economic environment and presents each home in its best light.

Malin and his wife moved from San Francisco back home to Burlingame when their daughter was born and have been very engaged in the community ever since. Serving as a volunteer in various positions on the Burlingame Community Education Foundation, the Burlingame Neighborhood Network, Burlingame Hills Association, and the local Parent Teacher Association has made Malin appreciate the community he feels so connected to even more. He loves the natural beauty of the Bay Area, the hills and the ocean views, and loves the spirit of innovation that pervades the region.
